I’m an artist working from a studio in Jericho, Oxford. I practice to investigate the world around me, painting and drawing landscapes, still life and people. I believe in the creative process as fundamentally important for the wellbeing of artists and the spiritual condition of the society in which they work. I am a Baha’i, and draw inspiration from the Baha’i view of the transformative power of the arts, and the significance of practicing as an artist for the upliftment of my own and others’ lives. I am inspired by the zeitgeist of early to mid-Century British painting, particularly the work of the neoromantic artists, and draw on multiple visual sources in my work.
